A 3716 and A 3726 are automatic circuit breakers designed for
conducting current under normal conditions and for cutting it off if a short or
overloaded electrical circuit happens. In addition, it can be used for infrequent
on and off switching of electric circuits. A 3716 (F) and A 3726 N (F)
are triple-pole, current-limiting switches with electromagnetic and thermal
release devices. A 3716 B and A 3726 B are also triple-pole, current-limiting
switches with electromagnetic and thermal release devices. A 3714 B (S)
and A 3724 B (S) are triple-pole, current-limiting switches with semiconductor
and thermal release devices. S stands for selective switch (i.e. with time
lag in short circuit zone). Levels of environmental exposure protection and
protection from contact with current-carrying parts: IP30 - the circuit breaker
IP-00 - external conductor terminals.
- the circuit breakers can have either a stationary or a drawout
construction and can be either electromagnetically or manually operated. If necessary,
the following supplemental assemblies can be built in: independent release device,
zero release device, free contacts.
