TMG oil-immersed power transformers

• These transformers are manufactured in a hermetic embodiment. Their internal volume has no communication with the environment and they are fully filled with transformer oil. Neither an expander nor an air/gas cushion is used.
• There is absolutely no contact between the oil and the environment. This considerably improves the oil's operating duty and eliminates its moistening, decomposition and sliming.
• The transformer oil is degassed prior to being put in the transformer. This allows the oil to preserve its properties throughout the transformer's operating life; therefore, sampling of the oil is not required.
• This transformer has an increased insulation strength due to the fact that the oil is filled in under high-vacuum pressure. This helps to remove air from the windings and insulating details from the active part.
• For monitoring the oil filling's completeness, these transformers are equipped with a float-gauge in their cover. The HV winding tap-changer positions are locked into place using a special device that is located inside the transformer tank's drive.
