Pipelayer TG-124A

Pipe-laying machine TG-124A is a set of attached implements mounted on a model T-170 tractor. It includes a side boom, a counterweight, a drive mechanism and a winch mounted on a special frame. Two hydraulically moved counterweights ensure maximum stability of the machine. With the counterweight extended to its maximum position, the mounting height provides sufficient clearance, thus enabling the machine's operator to view the working area and precisely control the lifting equipment.
The pipe-layer's boom is a high-strength steel structure and is designed with a considerable safety margin in case of possible overloads during lifting operations.
The lifting hook is constructed of a high-tensile steel that easily turns in the block and guarantees safety during lifting operations.

It should be emphasized that all the pipe-layers manufactured by Mikhnevo Repair and Engineering Works over the last few years have been equipped with the safety device ONK-140 (safe-load limiter), as required by the Russian engineering supervision authorities' regulations. The device displays digital information regarding the pipe-layer's turnover moment, hook radius, actual weight of the lifted load, angle of lateral/longitudinal pitch, boom elevation and operating pressure in the hydraulic system. It also prevents turnover of the crane.
