power transformers
TMG three-phase, oil-immersed transformers in hermetic corrugated
cases are designed for transforming electrical energy in supply networks and consumer
mains. This type of transformer requires little cost expenditure for preoperational
works and operational maintenance and needs no preventive repair or inspection,
neither throughout its operational lifetime nor when putting it into operation.

These transformers are manufactured in a hermetic embodiment. Their internal volume
has no communication with the environment and they are fully filled with transformer
oil. Neither an expander nor an air/gas cushion is used.
- There is absolutely
no contact between the oil and the environment. This considerably improves the
oil's operating duty and eliminates its moistening, decomposition and sliming.
- The transformer oil is degassed prior to being put in the transformer. This
allows the oil to preserve its properties throughout the transformer's operating
life; therefore, sampling of the oil is not required.
- This transformer has
an increased insulation strength due to the fact that the oil is filled in under
high-vacuum pressure. This helps to remove air from the windings and insulating
details from the active part.
- For monitoring the oil filling's completeness,
these transformers are equipped with a float-gauge in their cover. The HV winding
tap-changer positions are locked into place using a special device that is located
inside the transformer tank's drive.
