Ditch-digging machine BGM-1 is designed for:
- cutting through frozen or firm ground when digging trenches or foundation ditches;
- cutting narrow trenches (using one jib) for laying communication lines and electrical cables;
- cutting limestone or sandstone;
- cutting out blocks of ground for wintertime tree transplantation;
- disintegrating canopies of frozen ground.
