Motor grader DZ-198 uses D-260.4 engine as a power plant with an electric starter and engine start heater. The transmission is made by the German company ZF with 6 forward and 3 rear gears. The rear axle has a differential gear. Brake: multiple-disk in oil reservoir on all four rear bogie wheels; double-circuit driving gear with hydraulic control. Articulated main frame. Main operating element - grading blade.
- use in road construction on grounds classified 1 through 4, as well is in railroad, airfield and hydraulic construction.
